COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE HONORS ALLIANCE

CHARLESTON, W.VA (May 19, 2008) – West Virginia State Community and Technical College honored the Charleston Area Alliance May 18 with its Presidential Partnership Award.

The award recognized Workforce and Education Specialist Leanne Stowers for her “input, commitment, guidance and overall great work.” Stowers works with the college through the Greater Higher Education Council and the college’s Workforce and Economic Development Division.

Stowers received the award during the Spring Graduation ceremony at the Charleston Civic Center.

“Whether her contributions have  been through the Greater Higher Education Council or collaborating and building partnerships … she has proven to be an asset and an integral part of us meeting the needs of business and industry,” said a statement from the college. “

Each year, the college recognizes area businesses that have partnered with WVSCTC to meet the workforce needs in the region.
