Our Chamber advocacy and outreach benefit your bottom line. For example, we successfully pushed for the reduction in the business franchise and corporate net income tax and advocated for increased investment in the human and physical infrastructure that will support scientific research and innovation and generate jobs in West Virginia.
Our Issues & Eggs Breakfast, which opens each year’s legislative session, brings the business community face-to-face with legislators and government leaders, and is a highlight of the year. Throughout the session, we are your voice at the Capitol. Each year, the Charleston Chamber develops a legislative agenda, focusing on pro-active and innovative approaches to the opportunities and challenges facing our region as well as monitoring ongoing action at the Capitol impacting your bottom line. Through "Calls to Action," we engage members to enlist their help in educating lawmakers about key legislation.
