    The Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority is a non-profit organization created in 1977 by the Kanawha County Commission under the Emergency Services Act of 1975. Our MISSION is to provide professional health care and support services while maintaining a standard of excellence. Our GOAL is to enhance the quality of life for all we serve. Our ROLE within the community is to promote growth and development, to prevent accidents and illness through education and to alleviate suffering. Our VISION is a community where wellness, trust and harmony are the way of life.

    KCEAA employs EMT's, Paramedics, Nurses and support staff providing Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Service twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. We have 40 licensed ambulances operating out of 14 stations throughout the Kanawha Valley. We answer approximately 69,000 requests and transported approximately 62,000 patients. Our response time is 8 minutes 90% of the time.
