City Center Business Improvement District

The City Center Business Improvement District (“BID”) was formed by Charleston City Council in September 2021.  The property owners in the BID agreed to assess themselves a fee based on a combination of their lot and building square footage.  The Mayor with the approval of the City Council appointed a Board of Directors to oversee the BID.  The City Center BID is supported by part-time staffing provided by the Charleston Area Alliance.
