Charleston Area Alliance’s Leadership Kanawha Valley Program gives knowledge, experiences and connections to community leaders and business professionals. From young talent to senior executives, this program equips its participants with the tools needed to enhance their community impact. As one of the most celebrated leadership programs in the region, Leadership Kanawha Valley builds strong connections across private, public and nonprofit sectors and helps its graduates find their place in creating a vibrant and prosperous community.

Retaining Young Talent
The Charleston Area Alliance understands the importance of recruiting, supporting and retaining young talent in Charleston and across West Virginia. The Leadership Kanawha Valley Program gives the Alliance the ability to identify talent in the Charleston area and provide them with resources that create better leaders and well-informed citizens.
Programming
Leadership Kanawha Valley’s programming is centered on strengthening and inspiring participants to become more impactful leaders and maintain involvement in the community’s social, business and political fabric. Participants will become acquainted with Charleston’s business, government, community, and quality of life, analyzing each’s strengths and challenges and exploring innovative solutions to issues through behind-the-scenes experiences.
Throughout the program, Leadership Kanawha Valley strategically addresses the personal leadership journey, equipping participants with the resources needed to learn and grow as professionals and individuals. Those selected for the program have demonstrated leadership capacities, varied talents and backgrounds, and diverse careers.
