WHAT IS UP NEXT CHARLIE WEST?
Up Next Charlie West, a program of the Charleston Area Alliance, engages and empowers young people in the greater Charleston community through various events and programming. Up Next Charlie West gives members the tools to improve their careers, develop their leadership abilities, build their professional networks and give back to the community.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Up Next Charlie West is an open, inclusive environment that welcomes anyone ages 21 to 45 in the Greater Charleston area. Membership is free, and we welcome new members all year round.

**Membership requirements – To build a committed network of members and provide quality engagement opportunities, we ask all UNCW members to meet the following attendance requirements: UNCW Members must attend at least 3 events a year & participate in at least 1 Community Service activity a year
OUR EVENTS
FIRST TUESDAYS
First Tuesdays are our monthly networking socials that provide a casual space to meet other young professionals. On the first Tuesday of each month, swing by one of our various venues to enjoy raffle prizes, music, and mingling. First Tuesdays are free and open to all. Join us at the next First Tuesday!

Erin works as the Communications and Events Coordinator for the Charleston Area Alliance. She has a passion for retaining young talent in the greater Charleston area. Isaac Sinclair
2023 Co-Chair
Isaac works in Commercial Banking at United Bank. Originally from Summersville, WV, he moved to Charleston in January 2021.
Isaac studied at Liberty University and Cornell University, where he earned a finance degree, an MBA, and a certificate in Data Analytics.
In his free time, Isaac enjoys church, disc golf, CKA kickball, hiking, boating, and exploring the local food and craft beer scene.
EJ Price
2023 Co-Chair
DJEJ, aka EJ Price, moved to Charleston in 2012 from a Collegiate Career in Beckley, WV. Coming from the small town of Keyser, WV, EJ always wanted to live in a “City.” Ten years later, DJEJ has cultivated a full-time career as a small business owner and one of our Region’s most sought-after DJs for events! EJ advocates for our City and continues a tradition of cultivating a love for the Charleston area with everyone he meets. He believes that the “beauty of what we DON’T have, is the silver-lining blueprint for what we can create! Don’t just live in Charleston, LIVE Charleston!”
Drew Elliot
2023 Leadership Team
Drew works at City National Bank. He is a native Charlestonian.
Drew studied at High Point University before transferring to West Virginia University, where he earned a degree in Corporate Finance. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Charleston.
In his free time, Drew enjoys tennis, golf, watching soccer, and spending time with his friends and family.
Bethany Kinder
2023 Leadership Team
Bethany is the West Virginia Geographic Communications Manager for Dow. She was raised in Boone County and has lived in Charleston since 2013. Bethany serves on the Mission West Virginia Board of Directors, Children’s Therapy Clinic Board of Directors, is a member of the 2022 Class of Leadership Kanawha Valley, a graduate of the 2021 Class of Leadership West Virginia and was named one of the State Journal’s 2019 Generation Next: 40 under 40 recipients.
She also volunteers in her community with organizations like the Storybooth Characters and Read Aloud West Virginia. Bethany enjoys the outdoors, visiting local coffee shops and spending time with her puppy, Sophie.

Lindsay Stolling
2023 Leadership Team
Lindsay is an attorney at Robinson & McElwee PLLC. Her practice is focused on business transactions and corporate law.
Now a resident of Charleston, Lindsay grew up in Summersville, West Virginia. Outside of the office, she spends her time enjoying the state’s natural wonders, captaining a Charleston Kickball Association team, and attending many Charleston area events.
Chris Welty

Chris is the Donor Relations Specialist for the University of Charleston Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations.
Chris has been working professionally in nonprofits for 10 years, beginning his career at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences while obtaining a Marketing degree from West Virginia State University in 2015. Before joining University of Charleston in 2021, Chris spent over 3 years working in the healthcare philanthropy field for Thomas Health, and CAMC foundations.
A Charleston native, Chris is a major advocate for community volunteering and helping other young professionals by building connections and finding opportunities for those who wish to stay in the area.
Johanna Miesner

Johanna Miesner is a native Charlestonian. She enjoys volunteering with various community organizations, sour beer, and live music.
