About the Program
Looking to plant or come back to your WV roots? The Charleston Area Alliance and the City of Charleston want to talk to you! We are seeking remote workers and other innovative people who value the outdoors but still need or want the amenities offered by a city – but without the waits, noise, and price tag. Perhaps you can now move back to be closer to family. Or, maybe you want to get out of the big city and settle in a place with fewer crowds and highways, and more mountains, streams, and four distinct seasons.
The Charleston Roots Program was designed for remote workers who now have the ability to relocate anywhere while maintaining their current jobs. The program is also open to people who are looking to fill career opportunities that are growing or serve a need in the Charleston area.
